Nigeria Benin Advocacy for Development Forum (NBADF)
The Nigeria Benin Advocacy for Development Forum (NBADF) is a non-governmental, non-profit platform dedicated to fostering strategic partnerships, cooperation, and sustainable development along the Nigeria–Benin border corridor. Established in 2021, NBADF brings together stakeholders from civil society, the private sector, traditional institutions, and public sector entities in both Nigeria and the Republic of Benin.
With active presence in six Nigerian border states, Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Kwara, Niger, and Kebbi, the Forum works to promote cross-border trade, strengthen bilateral relations, advocate for border community development, and advance regional integration in alignment with ECOWAS protocols and the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA).
NBADF is committed to:
Advocating for the establishment of a Nigeria–Benin Permanent Joint Commission.
Promoting free movement of goods and persons in line with regional frameworks.
Facilitating cooperation on security, infrastructure, and socio-economic development in border regions.
Empowering border communities through policy engagement, trade facilitation, and stakeholder dialogue.
The Forum operates as a legal entity duly registered in both Nigeria and the Republic of Benin, and maintains strong collaboration with national, regional, and international bodies in pursuit of its mission.
Stronger together: Advancing trade, unity, and development for a prosperous Nigeria-Benin future.
